Getting Started with Swift Playground
This collaboration between includED & Tinkercademy is designed to empower the Blind who have an interest in coding. Coding – the language of technology – is an essential skill. Coding teaches you important skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and creativity.
Learning Swift Playgrounds requires no coding knowledge, so it’s perfect for any individual that is just starting out.
Duration: 4 Sessions 4 Hours

Class Size: 10 participants
Cost: $500/pax (Retail Price: $800/pax)
This course is eligible for funding of up to the full fund under the Temasek-Trust CDC Lifelong Learning Enabling Fund.
Pre-requisite: No coding experience is required
Requirement: iPad installed with the latest iPadOS and a pair of earphones/headphones and a copy of the latest Swift Playground installed.
If you do not have an iPad, you may want to consider getting a device. The device is eligible for funding of up to $500 under the Temasek-Trust CDC Lifelong Learning Enabling Fund.
The programme will introduce the fundamental of Swift by guiding characters through a 3D world using “Everyone Can Code” curriculum.
The programme focus on having the participants understand the fundamental of Swift.
Participants will learn about Commands, Functions, For Loops, Conditional Code, Logical Operators, While Loops and Algorithms. The programme will also build upon the fundaments and go in-depth into some programme concepts and topics like variables types, initialisation, parameters and arrays.
At the end of the programme, the participants must complete the activities in Learn to Code 1 and Learn to Code 2.
For participants who have an aptitude for coding and have completed the Getting Started with Swift Programming, the participants are recommended for Mobile App Development using Swift Playgrounds.
